The Whole Money Issue
We think nothing of spending large amounts of money on
*All sorts of junk we put into our bodies (soda pop, junk food, sweets, alcohol, drugs)
*Things to make us look good (cosmetics, hair colors, creams)
*Things we put on our body (clothes, perfumes, jewelry, shoes, purses)
*Things we surround ourselves with (homes, furniture, cars)
*Things we have or do for enjoyment (trips, vacations, hobbies)
*The latest technology (TVs, DVDs, computers, cell phones, appliances, tools)
BUT, when someone suggests we support our body so we can be healthy enough to enjoy the above things we immediately yell, “I can’t afford that”. And then we wonder why we feel like we do. It’s all about our daily choices.
Why do we think we can build a strong, healthy, energized, happy body out of lifeless, processed, refined, fertilizer sprayed, antibiotic and hormone treated, mineral and vitamin deficient so-called “food”?
Why are we so eager to please our belly, but find it so difficult to feed our cells?
Why do we fall for all the marketing hype about new man-made foodstuffs instead of look to nature for the food provided?
Even more puzzling, we think we can fix this malnutrition and toxicity by taking more toxic medications or surgically removing parts of our body instead of simply giving our cells the right nutrients. Would you ever put dirty gas in your car’s gas tank and expect it to run right? Yet that’s what we do to our own bodies every day with the diet and lifestyle choices we make.
Ever-rising obesity and chronic health concerns show our current health mess. It’s time to think about what we’re doing to ourselves, to our children, to future generations and to our planet.
We can’t afford not to take supplements when we know we don’t get the nutrition our body needs through our diet.
It’s a matter of balance. A balance of antioxidants versus free radicals. A balance of nutrient intake versus nutrient requirement. A balance of nutrients versus toxins. We now need to eat more nutrients than ever before just to break even with the damage being caused by the thousands of assaults on our cells every day. We are losing the battle big time. Just look around. Our health and our planet are suffering the consequences.
Think about it. If you ask your body to do the impossible – build and repair health with missing or inferior building materials – you will feel it!
