Muscular, Urinary, Reproductive, and Sensory Systems

muscles   Muscular System

What does the muscular system do for us and what organs are involved?  Our muscles give us movement and posture.  They give us facial expression and body language.  Muscle movement both produces and burns energy.  Muscles are attached to bones with tendons.  It is important to remember that muscle is the main tissue in the heart and the colon.

How can we support our muscular system?  In addition to the general recommendations we’ve already talked about, the following is important:

*Amino acids (http://bit.ly/14eL2rJ)

*calcium (http://bit.ly/13ckHxG)

*magnesium (http://bit.ly/1am5mfN)

*alfalfa (http://bit.ly/11UDXJu)

*exercise

*chiropractic care.

urinary   Urinary System

What does the urinary system do for us and what organs are involved?  This system regulates our water, salt, electrolyte and blood acid/alkaline balance.  It removes wastes.  The kidneys maintain the purity of our internal fluids and prepare wastes, toxins and drugs for removal through the urine.  Kidneys also return needed things to our blood.  Kidneys are involved in blood pressure regulation.  They convert vitamin D to its active form.  We don’t usually think about our kidneys or urinary system, but it is a vital system.  The kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra are involved.

How can we support our urinary system?  In addition to the general recommendations we’ve already talked about, the following is important:

*Lots (6-8 cups) of fresh, clean water every day (http://bit.ly/11StYon).  Beware of water with chlorine, fluoride, and residues from pesticides, hormones, antibiotics and other toxic compounds often found in our water supply.

reproductive     Reproductive System

What does the reproductive system do for us and what organs are involved?  This system is responsible for the creation of new life.  It gives us our male and female attributes.  Our sex hormones play a vital role in our sexual drives and behavior.  Male organs are testes, ducts, urethra, prostate and penis.  Female organs are ovaries, ducts, uterus, cervix, vagina, clitoris, labia, breasts, mammary glands and milk ducts.

How can we support our reproductive system?  In addition to the general recommendations we’ve already talked about, the following is important:

*B-complex (http://bit.ly/186adRk)

*calcium (http://bit.ly/13ckHxG)

*magnesium (http://bit.ly/1am5mfN)

*vitamin E (http://bit.ly/13222Vo)

*saw palmetto for men (http://bit.ly/13dYRc1)

Our Senses

What do our senses do for us and what organs are involved?  Our senses are typically considered a part of our nervous system.  They are our connection to the world.  We are constantly processing stimuli that we take in through our senses of sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste.  The ears also control our sense of equilibrium, not often thought of as a sense, but certainly very important.  Eyes, ears, nose, mouth and skin receptor are involved.

Our body is capable of amazing things when given the right support.  Our first choice should always be to support our body’s natural desire for optimal health through natural methods, instead of immediately turning to chemicals or surgery that try to overrule, overwhelm or control it.  Sustain optimal health with superior nutrition, healthy digestion, and healthy lifestyle.
