Living With Erectile Dysfunction

I had a question the other day about erectile dysfunction.

A man has erection problems if he can’t get or keep an erection that’s firm enough for him to have sex.

Erection problems are also called erectile dysfunction or impotence.

Erection problems can occur at any age.

But they’re more common in older men, who often have other health problems.

Treatment can help both older and younger men.

Erection problems may be caused by physical problems, like injury to nerves or loss of blood supply to the penis.

They can also be linked to other health problems.

These include diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and atherosclerosis.

Erection problems can also be linked to problems with the nervous system, like multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

Many medicines for other health problems may cause erection problems.

If you recently began taking a new medicine and started having erection problems, this could be a side effect of the medicine.

Men who drink too much alcohol, smoke, or use illegal drugs also are at risk for erection problems.

Anxiety, stress, or depression can cause erection problems.

Other causes include surgery or injury to the pelvic area.

The only symptom of an erection problem is being unable to get and keep an erection that’s firm enough to have sex.

But even with an erection problem, a man may still have sexual desire and be able to have an orgasm and ejaculate.

There are a number of treatments for erection problems and these usually start with lifestyle changes.

To deal with erectile dysfunction it’s beneficial to:

*Drink 6-8 cups of purified water daily hydrates body and brain cells and flushes toxins (whether thirsty or not!).

*Review my post on candida.

*Increase exercise, relaxation techniques.

*Increase fresh, raw fruits and veggies (organic when possible).

*Consider fresh juicing.

*Consume plenty of fresh, raw, unroasted pumpkin seeds.

*Increase fiber intake.

*Ensure good bowel function; avoid constipation.

*Consider a liver and/or colon cleanse.

*Decrease toxic exposures (food and environmental).

*Decrease any and all hydrogenated, trans fats, deep-fried foods, margarine, fast foods, artificial sweeteners.

*Decrease sugar, sweets, white flour products, processed foods.

*Avoid tobacco, alcohol, caffeine, soda pop.

*Understand your medications and possible side effects.

*Maintain a healthy weight.

*Consider a hair analysis for heavy metal testing.

*Consider an arterial cleansing program.
